Hanna holds her BSc degree (Engineer) – first-cycle programme on Nanotechnology (2012-2016) at Faculty of Chemistry of Lodz University of Technology, with thesis topic: „Synthesis and surface modification of ceramic nanoparticles – titanium (IV) oxide”. She synthesized, modified and characterized titanium dioxide nanoparticles using methods: Raman, UV-Vis, and Broadband Dielectric Spectroscopies, Dynamic Light Scattering and Zeta Potential. Hanna holds her Master degree – second-cycle programme on Nanotechnology (2016-2017) at Faculty of Chemistry of LUT, her thesis topic was: “Organic field effect transistors with X-ray photoresponse”. During master studies, she went on a semester project to Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research, Mainz (Germany) within the mobile semester in Johannes Gutenberg University, Mainz (Germany) where she conducted research for her master thesis. Hanna investigated the impact of X-ray radiation on charge transport in organic semiconductors using Delta Synchrotron in Dortmund (Germany) as an X-ray source and organic field effect transistors (OFETs) as tested devices.
After an almost yearly internship in Max Planck and intensive work in the field of organic electronics Hanna started
Hanna performed couple abroad internships. She has been a trainee in University of Houston-Downtown (Houston, Texas, USA), where she synthesized polymerizable ionic liquids using glove-box and dry box techniques and characterized them using NMR and IR spectroscopies, thermogravimetry and differential scanning calorimetry. She has also been on several internships in Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research (totally for more than a year). During this internships, she studied self-assembly and electrical properties of thin films of polymers and small molecules organic semiconductors for use in organic electronics. She was using methods like Grazing Incidence Wide-Angle X-ray Scattering (GIWAXS), Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) and OFETs measurements.
During the studies, Hanna participated in many international and national conferences and presented her scientific work by oral and poster presentations. She also attended in many student organizations including European Young Chemists’ Network (Younger Members’ Division of EuCheMS) in which she is a Member of the Board as Science Team Leader; Students’ Section of Polish Chemical Society in which for 3 years was a Chair of the Board and from 5 years is a Member of the Board; Students’ Scientific Organization NANO acting on Faculty of Chemistry at Lodz University of Technology in which for 3 years was a Member of the Board (2 years as a President). During work in those organization she organized many scientific events, events promoting the Lodz University of Technology and student conferences which allowed her to further develop such competencies
Hanna is also laureate of several scholarships: Scholarship of City of Lodz for the best first-year PhD students (22.11.2017); Scholarship of the Marshal of Lodz Voivodeship (22.05.2017); Individual Scholarship for Talented Students of the Lodz University of Technology organized by the Foundation of the LUT (16.03.2017); Rector’s scholarships for the best PhD students (2017/2018) and students (2014/2015, 2015/2016, 2016/2017).
